Introducing Dasigi Perraju Music Academy, a haven where melodies intertwine with memories and dreams ascend to new heights, established to honour the memory of (Late) Sri Dasigi Perraju garu. Born on 23rd December,1922 to Sri Venkateswarlu garu and Annapurnamma garu in Gudur, Dasigi Perraju garu's life journey was defined by resilience and fervor. He completed his schooling from Pothanapudi (Chodavaram, Visakhapatnam Dist.) and college education from MR College Vizianagaram. Though his formal education halted at the Intermediate level, his indomitable spirit propelled him to excel, earning him the distinction of topping the University exams amidst modest beginnings.

            Embarking on a career with Indian Railways starting out as a Railway guard, Dasigi Perraju garu rose through the ranks, retiring as the Station Superintendent of Waltair Railway Station. Amidst the hustle of railway life, he found solace and inspiration in music and spirituality, particularly the soul-stirring melodies of Harikatha, which became a cherished part of his being. He married (Late) Smt.Savitri Devi garu in 1943 who was his pillar of support for 52 years. Together, they nurtured a family of five sons and one daughter, imparting upon them the values of education and the courage to pursue their dreams. His children, (Late) Dr. Venkateswarlu (Ph.D. in Theophysics), Dr. Narasimha Sastry (Ph.D. in Aerospace Engineering), (Late) Appaji (M.Sc. Physics), Dr. Srikanth MBBS, DCH (Paediatrician), Dr. Venugopal (Ph.D. Computer Science), and Smt.Annapurna (B.Sc.), stand as living testaments to his enduring legacy of academic excellence and compassion.

            Perraju garu's influence transcended the boundaries of his own family. An ardent believer in the power of education, he dedicated himself to uplifting aspiring students, often extending financial support to those in need. His altruistic endeavors touched the lives of many, as he tirelessly encouraged and aided students in their pursuit of higher studies. In honor of his enduring legacy and profound love for music, his children established the Dasigi Perraju Music Academy. This institution stands as a beacon of artistic excellence and a testament to the lasting impact of Perraju garu's life. Through the academy, aspiring musicians are empowered to embrace their talents and strive for excellence in the fine arts, carrying forward the spirit of compassion and dedication epitomized by Dasigi Perraju garu.
